The Summer Novice Ordination Ceremony for the year 2024 will be held in honor of His Majesty the King. This auspicious event commemorates His Majesty's birthday and is graced by the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Kanitthathirachao and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Organized by the Sangha of Wat Thong Bon, in collaboration with the Yannawa School for the Elderly and the Institute for the Promotion of Wisdom for Society, as well as the network partners of the Wat Thong Bon Social Assistance Center and faithful Buddhists.
The ceremony will be presided over by Phrakru Sathitbunwat, the Abbot of Yannawa District, with Phra Maha Athit Amaro, the Abbot of Yannawa Province and Abbot of Wat Thong Bon, serving as the preceptor.
Miss Warunalak Phonhan, the Yannawa District Director, has assigned Mr. Wasan Disthasuwan, the Assistant District Director, to chair the lay department at the multi-purpose pavilion of Wat Thong Bon. The event aims to provide opportunities for youth to utilize their free time productively, receive training in morality and ethics, and develop a strong sense of conscience. It also serves as a means to perpetuate the teachings of Buddhism.
